About Digital Street Art Depot

Welcome to SAMA’s Digital Street Art Depot — a living, participatory heritage infrastructure.

The Depot documents, preserves and interprets street art as shared cultural heritage, in close collaboration with the communities in which it exists. From landmark murals to temporary interventions, each work is positioned within a broader framework of collective memory and urban transformation.

Rather than a static collection, the Depot functions as a dynamic system in which artists, residents and audiences actively contribute to the documentation, valuation and transmission of street art. Through digital memory capsules, immersive technologies and community-generated narratives, contemporary urban culture is sustainably recorded and made accessible as heritage.

The platform supports research, education and public engagement, enabling users to explore connections across time, place and identity, and to understand street art as a form of civic expression within public space.

The Digital Street Art Depot operates as a shared infrastructure for the long-term preservation, recognition and development of street art as part of collective cultural memory.
