Street Art Museum Amsterdam (SAMA) is a contemporary eco-museum, focused on the identity of the immediate environment in connection with local participation and aimed at improving the development and quality of life of the local community, using art as a tool to social dialogue.
Mission
SAMA recognises street art as an independent art form with intrinsic cultural and societal value. Through co-creation, research and archiving, we build the frameworks needed to preserve and legitimise street art as part of collective heritage, ensuring its long-term recognition within cultural policy and public space.
